Vinoceros and its new winery partners in Australia are launching four new brands into the UK. The four-strong Runamok range is aimed exclusively at the independent sector with an rsp of £4.99, while Penguin's Kiss and Bimaris are also making their UK debut. New wines from the Arrowfield Estate in the Hunter Valey are also on their way and will retail for £6.99.
Chilean step up
The new Casillero del Diablo Reserva Privada (rsp: £8.99) hopes to give Chilean wine drinkers a step up from Concha y Toro's entry-level products. It is a blend of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon and 35% Syrah, aged in French oak barrels for 14 months, and is a departure from the brand's core range of single variety wines.
Ian Macleod Distillers has agreed a deal with Sainsbury's to stock Smokehead, its new Islay single malt whisky, in the UK (rsp: £12.99).
