Exports rise 8%
Dairy exports in the first half of 2007 rose 8% to £420m driven by rising commodity market values, according to Food from Britain. Total food and drink exports rose 9%.

Yorkshire blue cheesemaker Shepherds Purse has secured a contract to supply Qantas Airlines with its Mrs Bells Blue cheese for the premier and business class menus. The cheese was named after the company founder Judy Bell.
