Farmers have been given a rash of price increases for their milk, taking effect next month. First Milk has offered an extra 0.5ppl, Robert Wiseman has announced a further 0.7ppl and there is an extra 0.5ppl from Dairy Farmers of Britain.

Dairystix - the UK's only supplier of portion-controlled stick packs of milk - is in talks with the multiples over listings. The packs use half the plastic of a conventional little tub.
