Sean Summers has become marketing director at Walkers Snacks, a new position created to develop a healthier snacking portfolio. Summer previously worked for PepsiCo in Argentina and Mexico.
Trussler for Sabato
Richard Trussler, former sales director of fine food importer and distributor Petty, Wood, has moved to New Zealand to take up the position of general manager of Sabato, which imports gourmet ingredients from Italy, Spain and France.
The Coca-Cola Company has recruited Joseph Tripodi as chief marketing and commercial officer. Tripodi will lead a new function combining Coca-Cola's global marketing and commercial organisations in the role. He joins from Allstate Insurance where he was senior vice president and chief marketing officer.
Irish PepsiCo chief
Zoe Kavanagh has been appointed MD of PepsiCo beverages, Ireland. She has spent 12 years at PepsiCo, including a stint as operations manager for Western Europe and three years as a crisis management consultant.
Cadbury Schweppes has announced the appointment of Guy Elliott as a non-executive director and a member of the group's audit committee. Elliott has been finance director of international mining group Rio Tinto since 2002.
Levy board shadows
Defra has appointed the members of the shadow sector companies that will be responsible for driving reform of the agricultural levy board system. The chairmen of the six sectors were appointed in February, but now 75 board members have also been named. They have until April 2008 to develop and approve a business plan for the sectors.
