Constellation Europe has announced a nationwide sampling campaign to support Rubis, its chocolate and fortified wine drink. The company hopes to reach 1.5 million consumers at events such as the Badminton Horse Trials, the Surrey County Show and BBC Good Food, as well as 250 multiple outlets.
Global brewers are increasingly looking to attract female consumers by launching sweeter products, according to Datamonitor. Bilk, a beer made up of one-third milk, has been launched in Japan and Michelob has released Lime Cactus and Tuscan Orange Grapefruit flavoured beers in the US. All three are aimed at females.
Adnams has been recognised for its work reducing carbon emissions. The brewer was awarded the Carbon Trust/Daily Telegraph Innovation Award 2007 last week.
