Tesco is hoping to revitalise its in-store TV network with the handing over of responsibility from JCDecaux to its Clubcard operator, Dunnhumby. The agency will be able to provide information to advertisers as to the effectiveness of the TV network though analysis of Clubcard purchasing data.
Asda sales boost
Asda's underlying sales rose by about 2% in the three months to July, ahead of expectations. However, US parent Wal-Mart admitted that competition had forced its UK arm to cut its profit margins to boost sales.
