Cattle prices continue to rise in Brazil. The current price of Real 56.75 (£14.77) per Arroba is set to reach Real 65.00 (£16.90) by the end of the year. Twelve months ago it was Real 50.00 (£13.10) per arroba. It remains to be seen whether the inevitable rise in fob terms will stem the current market growth. Corned beef imports are up 11% year-on-year with hot packs such as stewed steak up 45%.
