Heinz is aiming to spread canned pasta into other categories and attract more teenage and adult consumers with this week's launch of a three strong range of Pizzaghetti. The company is focusing on the new products' versatility, listing pizza, jacket potatoes and toast as suitable host foods. It is currently discussing cross promotions with pizza base manufacturers. A sampling campaign is planned for June. The three variants, which come in yellow cans, reflect the UK's three favourite pizza toppings: cheese and tomato; ham and pineapple, and pepperoni.
