This summer's Artois Championships is to be the last, as InBev and the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) end their 30-year relationship.

The split is said to have come following a change in the LTA's commercial strategy, with the association looking for a sponsor to support a package of activities rather than a single event.

"The LTA's decision to expand the sponsorship deal no longer fitted with our own strategic vision for the brand," said Stuart MacFarlane, president of InBev UK. "So we have decided amicably to go our separate ways."

Over the past 30 years InBev has invested more than £50m in sponsorship of the tournament and associated activities, said MacFarlane.
