Adnams has launched a limited-edition premium beer to celebrate the opening of its environmentally friendly brewhouse in Southwold, Suffolk.

Innovation, which has been described as "intriguingly hoppy" and has an abv of 6.7%, was introduced into Waitrose in an exclusive tie-in just before Christmas and is available in single or eight-bottle gift packs.

The limited-edition bottles and packaging are embossed with the story of the Adnams brewery and each of the first 7,000 bottles has been individually numbered and tagged.

Adnams said its green credentials were reflected in the product, which is made with 34% less glass and produced using the brewery's environmentally friendly processes.

"Innovation has been designed for consumers who are looking for a twist on our traditional beers, while retaining the superior quality that Adnams is renowned for," said marketing director Steve Curzon.
