Blade Farming, pioneer of one of the UK’s first integrated beef finishing systems, will hold the event at its R&D farm at Wytham, near Oxford next Thursday. The event, organised in conjunction with Meat South West, will be aimed at farmers who are looking to diversify or develop their own beef unit.
Clare Parnell, manager of Meat South West, said: “Cattle reared in this way are likely to produce a more consistent taste. We are working to raise the profile of West Country beef, lamb and pork. It’s vital we finish sufficient store cattle to meet increasing demand.”
