The Belgian brewer said volumes of Tennent’s lager were ahead 7.6% but the brands continued to be under pricing pressure both in the off-trade and on-trade.
Interbrew posted a 1.5% drop in net turnover for the first nine months of the year to 5.24bn euros from 5.32bn euros last year.
In Germany, volumes of Beck’s increased 8.3% and Hasseröda by 5.5%.
The group said the beer market was "sluggish" in the US. Volumes of Beck’s fell 8.2%, although the company said this was an improvement on the brand’s 12.7% decline over the first half.
