Two premium Irish butters are to make their debut in Waitrose stores this month.

Glenilen Farm Hand Made Country Butter (rsp: £2.79 for a 250g pack) is made from sweet, slightly salted cream and comes wrapped in parchment, brown paper and twine. Cuinneog Farmhouse Irish Country Butter (rsp: £2.79 for a 225g pack) is made from fermented milk, giving a richer taste.

Both products, sourced with help from the Irish Food Board, Bord Bia, will be on sale at selected Wait-rose stores from 21 June.
