Associated British Foods has named Brian Robinson as the new chief executive of its UK bakery business Allied Bakeries.
Robinson moves to the role from Associated British Foods Australia and New Zealand where he was divisional chief executive for eight years.
He has worked in the baking industry for more than 30 years and was most recently responsible for the construction of a A$150m bakery in Sydney, Australia.
In his new role, Robinson will head up Allied Bakeries’ brands Kingsmill, Burgen and Allinson, as well as developing own-label products for major retailers.
Robinson replaces Des Pullen who is promoted to the role of group HR director for Associated British Foods, after heading Allied Bakeries since April 2003.
Pullen said: “I am looking forward to the challenge of building the ABF business and wish Brian all the best in his new role - a role that I have thoroughly enjoyed.”
