A spokeswoman for MTEX, the Israeli company that markets Jaffa fruit in the UK, said it would feature an “Adam and Eve theme with a twist”.
The commercial is part of a £1m drive that aims to reacquaint younger consumers - primarily women aged 20-30 - with the Jaffa brand.
Casting of Eve was carried out in conjunction with women’s glossy Company, which ran a competition earlier this year to choose a reader for the role.
Advertising is being handled by the agency McCann-Erickson. It is not yet known on which channels it will air.
MTEX imports oranges, easy peelers and grapefruit from Israel when in season - typically between October and June - but at other times brings in produce from South Africa, South America, Australia, Turkey and Spain as necessary.
The company hopes to boost sales of Israeli fruit by 25-30% and non-Israeli fruit by 100%.
