Woods will oversee all aspects of the company's on-trade and take home sales and marketing operations in Scotland. Background: Woods joined Whitbread in 1996 as trade marketing manager and was promoted to customer marketing controller in 1998. A year later he became director of sales ­ business development. This is a position that Woods will retain in addition to his new role of strategic business development.
