Retailers, manufacturers and caterers have until Friday July 16 to submit their entries for the 11th Brammy Awards, which recognise and reward those who have made the most of Bramley apples during the last year.
The judging will take place on Friday, July 23, and all the winners will be showcased in a special feature in The Grocer. In addition, the results will be widely publicised and the winners will be entitled to run the award-winning logo on-pack or in menus.
The judging panel will comprise Julian Hunt, editor of The Grocer, Silvana Franco from BBC2 The Best and BBC Good Food, Karen Barnes from Good Housekeeping, Ian Mitchell, chairman of the Bramley Campaign and other Bramley apple industry representatives.
The categories for this year’s awards include: best Bramley apple pie (family); best Bramley apple pie (individual); best other Bramley pastry product including crumbles; best savoury Bramley product; most innovative Bramley product; and the chairman’s award.
