The Kellogg Company has been told off by advertising watchdogs for making misleading merchandise claims on the back of packs of its Rice Krispies and Coco Pops.
The back of both packs was headlined: “Compatible Beyblade Attack Spinners” and showed cartoon images and a picture of the Beyblades.

The Advertising Standards Agency said the packaging misleadingly implied that the Attack Spinners were available in those packs failing to clearly distinguish which packs contained a toy.

Kellog was told to consult the Committee of Advertising Pratice Copy Advice team before preparing a similar promotion.
