Kellogg's plans to extend its Coco Pops, Special K and Nutri-Grain brands from January and is supporting them with advertising and on-pack promotions.
A Coco Pops cereal called Moons & Stars will be advertised on TV from April to late June and then September to October. The moon and star-shaped multigrain cereal has a chocolate hazelnut flavour, and is expected to "bring fun to the breakfast table and encourage families to enjoy the most important meal of the day," said UK sales director Kevin Brownsey.
An oats & honey variant will be added to the Special K portfolio, backed by ads in April and September. Meanwhile, Soft Oaties will join the Kellogg's Nutri-Grain portfolio in two flavours: oat & raisin and oat & chocolate chip, accompanied by TV ads in April and October.
Kellogg's is also running an on-pack promotion from January until March, offering shoppers free zoo tickets and the chance to be a zookeeper for a day. The promotion will run on 25 million packs of Rice Krispies, Frosties, Corn Flakes and Coco Pops.
