Ronald Kers, current CEO of Nestlé's Austrian and Slovenian operations, has been appointed the new CEO of Müller Dairy's UK operations following the quiet departure of Gharry Eccles last month.

Prior to joining Nestlé, Kers spent two and a half years as MD of Lactalis-Nestlé Chilled Dairy. He takes up the position at Müller on 1 January and will be joined by Colin Smith, current general manager at Müller Group in Verona, who takes on the new role of commercial director.

Smith has been at Müller since 2006 when he joined as sales director. He will divide his time between Verona and the UK until he takes on the UK role full-time from January.
