Kingsmill has teamed up with the Big Lunch to sponsor a special version of the event in 2012 celebrating the Queen’s Daimond Jubilee.

The Allied Bakeries brand will promote the Big Jubilee Lunch on Sunday 3 June with a PR campaign and on-pack promotion across the line from next March.

Led by the Eden Project, the Big Lunch is an annual event that aims to bring people together to have lunch with their neighbours. Over the past three years, more than two million people have taken part.

“We are delighted to be involved with the Big Lunch,” said Guy Shepherd, category director at Allied Bakeries. “Supporting the Big Lunch is a natural fit for Kingsmill, as lunch is what we do.”

The other partners of next year’s event include the Big Lottery Fund and MasterCard.
