Leaf is the latest company to make the move into shelled jelly confectionery with a product launch under its Chewits brand.

Targeting children aged eight to 14 years old, Chewits Fruities - fruit jellybeans ­encased in a candy shell - also marks the company's first foray into the jellybean sector.

Due to be out on shelves later this month, the new confectionery comes in 55g bags containing an assortment of six fruit flavours

and has an rsp of 35p.
