I believe that energy is a key strategic issue for the retail industry today and that those retailers that are acting on energy efficiency now will be better able to manage the impact of rising energy costs in the future. The retail industry is the second-highest consuming sector in the UK and as such is exposed to future energy and carbon cost increases from a volatile global energy market.
This is why I believe that campaigns such as yours are vital in raising awareness on both the risks and the benefits of energy efficiency in retail.
