Sir: I think Dave Lewis will do a better job than Clarke did, and I hope he proves everyone wrong (‘Dave Lewis faces a massive challenge as he succeeds Philip Clarke at Tesco,’ 25 July).

If you look at all the big supermarkets, you can easily pick out positives and negatives from each store and I think that’s where Tesco is going wrong.

Tesco should be looking at the positives in other stores and transferring that into their stores.

For example, I think the bakery in Morrisons is way better than any other supermarket, and in Asda the clothing range is better than any other supermarket. Tesco needs to change these two things for the positive, and rival Morrisons and Asda.

The positive thing that Tesco has is customer service - always get a smile from staff, and I’m not just saying this because I work for Tesco. Those three supermarkets all have positives Tesco needs to have, and it can be the best supermarket again.
