Sir: I enjoyed reading the Power List (26 May), and found it very interesting that only 13 women were represented on this list of 100 influential people, particularly as the Cranfield Female FTSE report in March published that the number of women in boardrooms has risen to 16% from 15.6% and the number of all-male FTSE 100 boards has fallen from 11 to nine.

Theresa May has also been in the press recently for scrapping plans to force boards to appoint more women. I am hopeful that next year we will see an increase in women on the list.
