The Advertising Standards Agency has slammed an advert by Lever Fabergé for its Persil Non-Bio washing powder and tablets as misleading after rival Procter and Gamble logged a complaint.

The national press advertisement for the products claimed “Unbeatable cleaning and care”.

P&G challenged the claim because it believed Persil Non-Bio did not have a better cleaning performance than did other detergents.
The ASA supported the complaint and told Lever Fabergé not to use the claim again.
