The new advertising campaign which broke this month for Lucozade Sport is part of a £12m push behind the brand in 2001. The main theme behind this year's activity is rugby in light of the fact that the brand is the Official Sports Drink of the British Lions Tour to Australia. The £5.6m ad campaign ­ featuring sports personalities the Coach' character and the Have you got it in you?' strapline ­ are running on TV, posters and in sports titles. To highlight the link-up with the Australia tour, Lucozade Sport will be rebranded LucOZade for the promotional period (April to July) ­ which coincides with the launch of a new pink grapefruit variant. The instant win on-pack promotion gives consumers the chance to win 10 trips to Australia to see the Lions play the Wallabies.
