Kerry Foods Direct Sales and Nestlé Rowntree have wrapped up a deal to team confectionery megastar Kit Kat Chunky with a Millers brand sandwich in a lunch kit. The plastic packs contain a chicken with red pepper and honey mustard dressing sandwich and add further packaging to an already-wrapped Kit Kat bar. They will be merchandised in the chiller cabinet in multiples as well as independents and forecourt outlets. For smaller retailers, the packs will be delivered direct to store by Kerry Foods Direct Sales' fleet of chilled vehicles. Paul Stubbins, Kerry Foods' sales and marketing manager, said the company planned to introduce other sandwich and confectionery brand combinations "on a regular basis".
