Lyle's Golden Syrup is aiming to maximise its seasonal appeal with rum & festive spice and brandy & festive fruit flavour limited editions.

Rolling out now, the two lines are supported by press advertisements.

Positioned as an accompaniment to mince pies, Christmas pudding or ice cream or as an ingredient in flapjack recipes, the new syrup lines are available in 454g pouring bottles.

Assistant brand manager Marion Veisseire, said: "At Christmas, consumers move to more convenient and indulgent products that create a natural peak for the toppings market. This launch is aimed at driving footfall to the aisles."
