John Dunsmore, who was recently appointed as the new chief executive of Magners maker C&C Group, has been named as a non-executive director of pub group Fuller Smith & Turner.
Dunsmore joins the Fuller's board today, having been handed the reins at C&C in November, succeeding Maurice Pratt in the management role.
Dunsmore was chief executive of Scottish & Newcastle between November 2007 and May 2008, before quitting in the wake of its successful £7.8bn joint takeover by European drinks giants Carlsberg and Heineken.
"[Dunsmore] has a wealth of experience which we feel will be invaluable to Fuller's and I am very pleased to welcome him to the team," said Fuller's chairman Michael Turner.
"There is little doubt that 2009 will be one of the toughest years any of us has faced and having someone of John's calibre on the team can only serve to strengthen our position as industry leaders and our ability to capitalise on any opportunities the downturn may present."
