Marco Pierre White’s Governor ale is extending into the off-trade for the first time this month with a new listing in 450 Morrisons stores.

The 100%-British ale, brewed by JW Lees, is made with Goldings hops from Hereford and water from the Lake District. Pierre White described it as having a “rich, amber colour and malty taste and fragrant hoppy finish”.

The chef will create recipes linking the ale with food, and is also looking to extend into cider in conjunction with Westons later this year.
