Gourmet salad dressings and sauces provider Mary Berry & Daughter has added a range of jams and marmalades with extra fruit to its portfolio.
The six-strong range, available in Nisa-Today's from this month, consists of four jams, including an apricot, a raspberry, a strawberry and a ginger option. A 340g jar will be priced at £1.79. The marmalades are available in a thin cut orange and an extra thick cut variety priced at £1.69 for a 454g jar.
The offerings, which are gluten-free and made from "only the finest ingredients", promise an "exceptionally high fruit content" in order to tap the consumer trend for jams that contain more fruit and less added sugar.
"Mary Berry will only put her name to a product if she is content that it is of excellent quality and these jams and marmalades are just that," said Sam Deacon, senior product marketing manager at distributor RHAmar. "Of particular note is the apricot jam, which contains 70g of fruit per 100g,"
