Cadbury is responding to the success of Nestlé Randoms with limited-edition Maynards Fruit Duos a modern twist on its classic wine gums.

From next month, Maynards Fruit Duos will line up on the sugar confectionery counter next to Randoms in 52g and 215g size packs (rsps: 44p and £1.49 respectively) and a £1 price-marked 170g pack. They will be available until stock runs out.

Each gum contains two flavours and each pack contains strawberry & lime, strawberry & blackberry, ­apple & blackberry, apple & pear, tangerine & pear and tangerine & lime gums.

The launch will benefit from a £2m campaign for the entire Maynards brand and include new TV ads running in July. “With the support of a heavyweight TV campaign and their limited availability, we anticipate demand for Maynards Fruit Duos will be high,” said Cadbury.
