Vion has moved to reassure customers that supply will not be affected by planned strikes at its Cambuslang factory.

Unite members intend to hold two 24-hour strikes on 8 and 12 March after failing to agree a new remuneration package with Vion management.

Vion had taken “the appropriate steps to ensure continuity of service to those customers supplied from the Cambuslang operation,” said director of corporate affairs Alasdair Cox.
