Euro Garages has completed the acquisition of 48 forecourts from Esso.
The independent forecourt operator, which has 180 sites, said the new forecourts would increase its turnover to more than £1bn.
It plans to invest £10m in the new sites over the next year as part of a finance package agreed with five banks, which also financed the acquisition.
“Extending our finance club and securing the new funding package is further endorsement of our business plan,” said managing director Mohsin Issa.
“We are continuing strategic site acquisitions that deliver new employment opportunities, especially for younger people, and bringing our customer offer to even more people.”
It is also aiming for 100 Starbucks, Subway and Greggs concessions at its forecourts by the end of 2015, which would create 1,740 new jobs. It already operates 56 Subways, 51 Starbucks and 11 Greggs concessions.
