Homepride is claiming the lead in the bottled soups category with the release of its first trading figures since the launch of Soup in a Bottle. It claims sales of 510,000 units during November [Information Resources] ­ pointing out that this is 36 times more than rival product Heinz Fridge Door. Homepride Soup in a Bottle was launched in September last year backed by a £3m advertising spend. Phase two of its TV advertising campaign ­ featuring a 3D computer animated version of the Fred character ­ breaks on January 24 and airs for six weeks. {{P&P }}
