Method is extending its eco-friendly household brand into the baby aisle with its first range of bath and skincare products.

The range, which joins the company's recently launched hand soaps in Boots, is part of the US brand's strategy to double its £3m UK sales over the next three years. Available from July, it consists of five products for babies and three for children, including shampoos, body washes, lotions, bubble bath and a nappy cream, all £5.

In line with the company's eco-friendly ethos, the products are biodegradable, contain no parabens, ethoxylated compounds or animal by-products, and are not tested on animals.

The Californian company, launched in the UK last year, plans to enter two new categories a year for the next three years, with laundry thought to be high on the agenda. It has already trademarked its brand in the UK across a wide range of categories, including carpet cleaner, stain remover, air freshener and paint.
