Nestlé has appointed Vincent Metz category marketing director for its chilled dairy division in the UK to drive sales of its Ski and Munch Bunch ranges.
The company acquired the brands from Northern Foods subsidiary Eden Vale last April, catapulting it into second place in the UK chilled dairy market.
Metz is moving from his role as marketing director for the company's chilled dairy business in Germany and Austria. He will report to Greg Krol, who was appointed managing director of the chilled dairy division last June.
Metz brings the senior commercial team in that business up to full strength.
Nestlé said he would play a key role in helping it meet its ambitious growth targets for this year.
When he was appointed, Krol said that transferring continental innovations to the UK chilled dairy market had potential (The Grocer, June 22, 2002).
