Tesco blockade Farmers for Action has called off a threatened blockade of Tesco depots. The militant farmers' group sought a rise in the price of milk to help small farmers meet current production costs. It warned it would start the blockades if Tesco chief executive Terry Leahy refused to meet its representatives by noon last Wednesday. But after the deadline expired, FFA chairman David Handley announced: "We have agreed terms which will enable us to work together." Tesco said: "Following positive dialogue with Handley, we have agreed to further talks." {{NEWS }}
