Milk Marque triplet Zenith has signed up seven Yorkshire farmers to convert to organic production: their output will be dedicated to supplying the Fountains Dairy at Kirby Malzeard. At present, Fountains takes 90,000 litres of organic milk a week. Over the next two years, an increasing proportion of this will be provided locally  and talks are in hand with three other nearby milk producers. Producers co-op Zenith is offering a 0.5ppl bonus for the converting farms. At present organic milk is earning producers 30.9ppl  although there is a risk of softening organic prices as the milk pool grows. {{PROVISIONS }}
