Milk Link will increase the price it pays its member farmers by 0.5 pence per litre from August.

The increase means that members whose milk goes into manufacturing will receive 25ppl, and members whose milk is sold for liquid milk will receive 25.22ppl.

"This latest price increase reflects the securing of improved returns from the retail and foodservice market sectors," said Milk Link CEO Neil Kennedy.

The 0.5ppl increase follows an increase of 0.75ppl made by Milk Link to its farmers in July.
