Milk Link is throwing its weight behind the speciality cheese sector with a major investment in its Reece's creamery.

The company is spending £1m adding a new cutting and packing hall at the Cheshire-based creamery, creating 20 new jobs. The site produces territorial cheeses including Lancashire and Cheshire.

Construction started this week and was due to be completed by September, said Milk Link. "The investment will enable us to deliver more of what retailers need to win in this growing sector," said director for speciality cheese, Mark Frankcom.
