Havana Club has enlisted 'guerilla gardener' Richard Reynolds to launch four pop-up mint gardens to promote the use of the rum in Cuban Mojito cocktails.

'The Mintfields experience' launched this month with a pop-up garden in Shoreditch. Gardens will also appear in Brighton, Manchester and Liverpool.

The initiative would ­educate consumers on the advantages of using premium ingredients such as fresh mint when mixing up their own Mojitos at home, said Patrick Venning, head of marketing at Pernod Ricard UK.
