Dundee based c-store chain Morning, Noon & Night has reported an 8.25% rise in annual turnover amid stiff competition from the multiples, the company said.

For the period to the end of March sales of beers and wines, chilled foods, crisps and snacks and soft drinks increased from £41.5m to £44.9m.

MN&N’s added two stores to its portfolio in the year for a total of 46 outlets. Stores were opened in Avoch, north of Inverness, and Old Kilpatrick, Glasgow.

MN&N founder and chairman Eddie Thompson said: “We continue to achieve success from five priority areas - employing the right people, finding the right sites, continuing our successful trading strategy, controlling the business efficiently and being innovative and responsive to new products and services.”
