Champagne Ayala has had a revamp to reflect its premium positioning combined with its heritage, following its purchase by the owner of Bollinger.
Societé Jacques Bollinger, which bought Ayala in January to join its Bollinger Champagne brand in the Mentzendorff portfolio, has reverted the brand’s logo back to the design it used in the 1800s.
It said that care was taken to project a contemporary image by retaining the striking red colour and clear branding. The Champagne house has also released Ayala Brut Zero (rsp £24), which uses the same blend as its Brut but with zero dosage.
Jonathan Stevens, Champagne brands controller at distributor Mentzendorff, commented: “I am confident that the clean lines and minimalist look will set the brand apart from its competitors and be welcomed by the UK trade and consumer.”
