Drinks importer Morgenrot claims its new Kaiserdom range of lagers will make German beer "exciting again" in the UK.

The Kaiserdom-branded range comprises a classic pilsener, a blonde beer, wheat beer and a dark Dunkel-style lager (rsp: between £1.19 and £1.29), and Morgenrot is currently in discussion with major retailers about listings.

Deriving from Germany's historic brewing heartland of Franconia, Kaiserdom had the flavour variety and provenance to capture the imagination of British drinkers, said Morgenrot.

"This range comes from one of the most highly-regarded and historic brewing regions in the world and has the potential to make German beer exciting again," said Morgenrot.

Kaiserdom adheres to the Bamberg purity law of 1489, which states that a beer must contain only hops, malt and water.
