Pork pie specialist Dickinson & Morris is aiming to cut itself a bigger wedge of the on-the-go snacking market with some new products.
It already sells large sizes, mini multipacks and twinpacks to the major multiples for take-home sales, but hopes that new individually-wrapped 75g lines will take its name further into the convenience arena and into lunchtime occasions.
The newcomers are original and pork & pickle flavour in easy-tear packs featuring a new red livery.
Brand manager Lucy Iddison said more people were being "turned on by premium rather than value pork pies" and the company expected the new lines to appeal to lunchtime users and younger consumers.
The company is also launching two savoury tarts, both made with puff pastry, into Waitrose outlets from June of this year.
