Wensleydale will supply four blended cheeses under the contract, a Wensleydale with cranberry, Double Gloucester with chive and onion, Stilton with apricot and Oak Smoked Cheddar.
The cheeses will be sold in all stores nationwide as 200g stand-up wedges, which represents an increase on previous 150g triangle-shaped formats supplied by the company.
The contract win follows a £360,000 investment in new cutting and packing equipment by the creamery last year. "This is a substantial amount of business for us," said MD David Hartley. "We have secured this contract thanks to the creamery's ability to create a high-quality product and the blending expertise of our cheese-making master craftsmen."
