Morrisons has overhauled its range of own-label conserves with 10 new jams, marmalades, sweet spreads and honeys.
The retailer has launched an Italian Forest Honey (340g) which, along with other premium own-brand honeys including Thai Rambutan and Thai Lychee products, now carry a strength rating and tasting notes.
It has also added a blackcurrant conserve and greengage conserve to the line-up with two new conserves set to join the range in June.
More than 50 products have been modified or developed as part of the update. Some conserves had been given a higher fruit content than competitor products, Morrisons said, while remaining at the same price.
“The improved quality of our current range combined with the addition of some really interesting new products for the UK market has total transformed the category,” said strategic brand manager Charlotte Dewhurst.
“We think it offers shoppers better choice and value for money than any other supermarket range.”
