Morrisons is upping the ante in the supermarket fuel wars – a week after diesel prices reached an all-time high.
The retailer this week re-launched its Fuel Britannia campaign, offering customers 15p off a litre of petrol or diesel when they spend £60 in store.
Fuel Britannia vouchers will be issued from today until 4 March, with motorists able to redeem the vouchers until 11 March. During similar campaigns last year Morrisons was offering 5p off per litre when shoppers spent £40.
“We know how tough it is for our customers,” said Morrisons marketing director Richard Lancaster. “This deal will help them in these tough economic times. Nobody has ever knocked this much off a litre of fuel before.”
Last week the price of diesel hit 143.05ppl, while oil prices this week hit their highest levels since June last year.
